• Performing physical assessments, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Providing pre and post-operation care to Orthopaedic patients while in admission to the ward: monitoring for vital observations and neurovascular status; administers treatments and medications as per Doctor's order to manage pain; maintains wound care and assists patients with therapy and assistance for faster recuperation.

• Focus on improving Patient transition from rehabilitation to home;

• Completes a comprehensive health assessment of the patient's physical, psychological, social and environmental, and functional status in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members.

• Communicates education, information and guidelines to patients and the families of patients.

• Works well both independently and in team settings.

• Aims to continually grow and learn as a Nurse.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with disability e.g. Tetraplegic, Autonomic Dysreflexia.

• Prepare, handle and administer medications;

• Attend to nursing management of Tracheal tube, Suprapubic Catheter and Colostomy bag;

• Diabetes Management

• Pain Management

• Non-Pharmacological DVT Management

• Ensure Culturally competent Nursing care.

• Conducts patient intake – triage;

• Provides basic nursing care and treatment in clinical setting, such as vital signs taking, assessment and health teachings;

• Assists the physician in consultations;

• Prepares patients for physical examinations, tests or procedures;

• Prepares, handles and administers medications – oral, IM, and vaccines such as Hepatitis B vaccine and Tetanus Toxoid;

• Checks results and notifies Physician of significant laboratory and diagnostic findings that require an immediate response.

• Trained and competent to administer medications;

• Performs any combination of following duties in care of patients in hospital and rest home, under the direction of nursing or medical staff: answers signal bells, lights or intercom system to determine patients’ needs.

• Reports patients’ progress to immediate Supervisor and documents on progress notes.

• Cares for infants transitioning to extra uterine life • Provides age appropriate care to patient

• Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans, including discharge planning

• Provides nutritional assessment & specialized feedings

• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment, such as incubators and ventilators

• Prepares, administers and records prescribed medications; Monitors vital signs, initiated corrective action and reported adverse symptomatology, if any
