I started with Empowered to gain more knowledge and a stronger understanding of complex supports and mental health. I have gained a lot more experience and knowledge taking on three complex supports a week and moving from entry level support worker to an advanced support worker. This position helped me grow as an individual and gain more knowledge in my field to help expand on my career.

• Assisted clients with conflict resolution strategies and anger management techniques.
• Monitored, evaluated and recorded client progress with respect to treatment goals.
• Attended training seminars related to mental health topics such as trauma-informed care, substance abuse.
• Provided transportation assistance for clients who needed help getting to appointments or other necessary locations.
• Aided with individuals who needed help with medical conditions such as pseudo-seizures and behavioral problems involving and caused by substance abuse.
• Complex note taking system, documenting and recording incidents and shift notes.
• Meeting KPI's and requirements of a minimum 4/5 star rating for clients satisfaction.

Supporting individuals to be apart of a community and assisting in their everyday needs. Being bubbly and happy to help those continue to lead a fulfilling and positive life with the cards they’ve been dealt.

Some of the tasks and responsibilities I have ensured include:

• Transporting clients to their appointment, shopping and including them in the community.
• Complex palliative care support including, rapidly declining health and being dynamic and flexible with changing circumstances.
• Able to empathise and understand the situation participants are in and the privacy of their health and life.
• Showering and personal hygiene, including using the hoist and stand assist equipment.
• Learning how to engage and to be able to communicate with those who are unable to, by thinking outside the box.
• Providing comfort and company to those who need.

• Addressed customer problems quickly and according to service standards.
• Organized promotional events such as special offers or discounts for customers.
• Created monthly budgets for the salon's expenses such as payroll, supplies, equipment maintenance.
• Understood operations of each service area, helped during busy times and stayed current with work processes.
• Met and exceeded personal sales targets by applying excellent upselling skills and product knowledge to match each customer with optimal selections.
• Inspected work areas and operating equipment and confirmed cleanliness and maintenance.
