Still employed at Campbell Transport, my duties are and not limited to, MC road train operator, driving ultra and standard quads, triples and doubles, (all side tippers) Haul road and tarmac. Well versed in current fleet vehicles such as Kenworth T909, K 200, C509, C510, Mack Titan, and T 1250 power trains, 18 speeds and autos.

Areas of operation have been varied due to request by employer. These include areas such as Wiluna, Esperance, Geraldton, Three springs, Kalgoolie, Coolgardie, Mount Marion, Murrin Murrin and currently now at Leonora. Goods carried have been, Iron Ore, Lithium, Talc and Rare Earth Metals in 20 foot containers.

  • Ran sole trader, my main contracts relate to Real Estate and Farming works. Varied roles include general repair and maintenance for a local real estate company of over 200 managed rentals and working closely with the owner of over 5 cattle and sheep properties throughout Victoria and NSW. Heavy customer liaison including upper management was a critical part of this role. Other tasks included overseeing transport maintenance, which included some transport maintenance and OH&S training to personnel.

  • A "very hands on" and "can do" attitude in office management and on factory floor. This position involved the maintenance to a private club of over 450 houseboats on Lake Eildon. Requirements were to be able to pick up any tool and proficiently and expertly use to repair/maintain houseboats, broken down machinery or electrical tool repairs. Problem solving and attention to detail played a pivotal role on each days agenda as there is no room for error with houseboats. High end customer liaison was also heavily required dealing individually by phone or in person with owners. OH&S also played a heavy role with over 10 contractors working in the sheds at one time, thus involving working with heights, confined and enclosed spaces and dealing with houseboats that weight in excess of well over 40 ton. This was a 24/7 position with often callout's at any time of day or night.

Originally this position was Roustabout but promoted to Roughneck on the drill floor. This involved all facets on the drill floor, such as operating a tight and release tong, robotic arm for placement of drill pipe, monitoring of mud weights to ensure stability of well, general housekeeping and preventative maintenance.
