Since starting with BGIS on their Defence contract I have progressed and gained valuable experience throughout the entire Holsworthy Base.

I have full baseline and NV1 security clearance meaning I have access to higher security zoned areas making it easier to complete my tasks.

In January 2024 I was asked to run the Stage 1 Net Zero project across the entire Barracks, My task was to set up and monitor the multiple contract companies BGIS engaged to perform the upgrades. Tasks included daily pre start safety discussions depending on the particular building scheduled. Stage 1 was completed by christmas 2024. In July 2025 we started Stage 2 of the project. We are currently roughly 50% completed.

In February 2025 we had a base wide power outage due to the Moorebank avenue infrastructure upgrades,

I was in charge of managing the setting up and maintaining 26 generators for the period between 10pm Friday to 2am Monday shutdown.

Tasks included everything from taking delivery of all Gens, ensuring all trades adhere to safety protocols, ensuring that all buildings essential services are working as they should and been on call and available for the entire shutdown period.

Over the five years i have worked for BGIS they have not only maintained my annual low voltage and CPR training I have successfully completed

Installed and commissioned machinery for industrial clients, including Tooheys and National Foods.

Provided 24/7 shift coverage to ensure uninterrupted service for customers.
