Work History

Field Enhanced Installer Repairer

Telstra
03.2012 - Current

My Journey in Telstra Started as a 2 year Skilled Trainee working on Metro Copper faults.

Once the NBN rolled out I moved over into the Tasmanian Digital Team working on residential and business installs and faults.

Once the NBN rollout slowed down nearing completion I received a secondment into the enhanced services workspace where I learnt new Skills such as Cisco and juniper Router configurations, BDSL installs and faults, TIPT installs and faults and Basic fibre work.

After obtaining a permanent role in the Enhanced Services space I completed two weeks of ride ons with a network specialist Richard Ord and then had all Network and Transmission skills turned on to fill a skill gap in the local team.

Most recently I have started working hand in hand with some of our enterprise customers including Services Australia while filling in for Michel Demage as the ROM in this space. I Have since completed 3 months of fill in for him and have built strong relationships with Stakeholders in this space to the point where they will call me with questions even when I am not in the role.

I also work fulltime in the projects space with a main focus being the health space, this includes cutovers in the LGH and Tier 2 sites with change windows needing to be met. I have created a sharepoint with intel on every health site in the North to make sites easier to understand for others when backfill is required.

I believe this role is an extension of what I am already doing and will heavily increase my knowledge in the back of house space to give me an understanding of potential road blocks that Leesa, Steve and Michel face daily in their respective roles and I also believe I can make a difference in these spaces and help things to run more efficiently with my personal knowledge.
