Summary
I am a highly enthusiastic and reliable individual with a great work ethic, being able to confidently and continuously moving up job roles since starting underground mining 4 years ago. Currently I have been a Charge Up operator and shotfirer for the last 20 months which requires me to work with dangerous explosives and fire them at the end of every shift. I also provide training for others employers upskilling to charge up and have done so for all my previous roles underground. I take pride in being hardworking whilst working by myself or working in a team. I have also recently got my loader ticket for loading trucks but have not had a permanent spot on the loader as of yet. My current roster is 2:2 roster working 12-13 hour days/nights. Before that I was working 2:1 swing which indicates I have no problem to working shift work and longer days if available and required.
Underground mining requires Proper Personal Equipment such as Hard-hats, safety glasses, steel cap boots and high visibility clothing which we must always be wearing whilst following all safety procedures on site with very little to know exceptions and have always abided by there protocols with no incidents in my time at the company.
Previously before underground mining I was based in Melbourne and was employed Plasterer/ Carpenter for Breely Interiors Pty. Ltd. for 10 years. Firstly completing the plastering apprenticeship but quickly moving into the carpentry side of things the last 6 years of my tenure. Working on a number of different projects, ranging from brand-new Woolworths and Aldi stores, schools and refurbishments on hospitals and many other projects in which I was often put in charge to run for my company. I enjoyed this work but moved to Western Australia during the pandemic.
