The Clinical Nurse Manager Child and Family Health provides clinical leadership and management of staff,clinical services and resources to the Child and family health service to ensure delivery of safe,effective,quality child and family health nursing care to families with babies and children aged 0-5 years.

Registered Nurse Child and Family Health works within a primary healthcare model with families who have infants and/or young children 0-5 years.The role is responsible for the monitoring growth and development,and health status of the child(0-5 years) within the context of the family using child health surveillance and screen as per the Personal Health Record Book(Blue Book).

The role works with a strength based wellness focus building parental confidence and skills through the provision of information,resources inteventions, guidance for safe responsive care.The nurse utilises evidence-based screening tools and assessment to identify health variations or vulnerabilities to negotiate an individual catre plan and inteventions that meet the needs of the family.
