Declan Connell

I have been working at the Spence Grocer for four years. During that time my role evolved from working on the register and packing shelves, to managing the kitchen cafe, the supermarket, as well as performing end of day close when required. As a senior trusted member of the team I am relied upon for various duties, often filling in and taking on additional shifts at short notice.

During my year experience as an intern at the Canberra Raiders my role involved me writing many articles such as match reports, previews, wraps and even showing me the ropes of how they publish, create and share their vast amount of content all over social media. I learnt a fair amount of what it will feel like to be working within the sports media Industry.
