With a strong passion and experience in Psycho Oncology and General Adult Psychiatry, I provide an empathetic and professional service for patients, especially in rural settings. I utilise Telehealth services, significantly enhancing access for patients facing psychological distress due to cancer. My expertise includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and collaborative care, underpinned by a profound knowledge of psychiatric challenges faced by patients and their families in the area of Oncology.

I am a Consultant Psychiatrist based in Adelaide. I undertake all of my reviews remotely by Telehealth, with the majority of my patients living in rural SA. Having resided rurally, I am aware of the difficulties people face accessing specialist medical treatment.
I have a special interest and skills in the area of Psycho oncology. This includes seeing people who have been diagnosed with cancer, who are experiencing challenges of all kinds. This may be while having active treatment, surveillance and monitoring, or at any time in their management. I utilise Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Supportive Psychotherapy, and where required medication to assist with mood, anxiety and sleep disturbances.
Fear of Recurrence is a common and disabling experience, unique to a diagnosis with Cancer. Whilst under diagnosed, I am passionate about assisting patients with these concerns, to live as well as they can with their diagnosis, through psychotherapeutic interventions.
I am an empathetic practitioner, with significant knowledge in the psychological distress and challenges that a person diagnosed with Cancer may experience.
Worked in outpatient General Adult Psychiatry. Specialised in 291 assessments, providing management plans and recommendations for GP's.
Resided and worked in Rural area, as part of the local Community Mental Health Team. Provided outpatient care, 291 assessments, as well as leading Multi Disciplinary Team Meetings. I worked closely with the teams mental health nurse, social worker, and other employees. I provided in person and Telehealth services. I worked collaboratively with the local GP network, supporting them with the large number of Mental Health patients.
I lived and worked as a Psychiatry Locum in the UK. I worked effectively in fast-paced environments, and learnt quickly to adapt to new situations and working in a different health service. I worked both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. I also managed to do some travelling, another passion I hold.
