I am passionate about animal welfare, environmental sustainability and ecosystem management. I have hands-on experience in animal care, agricultural tourism and conservation practices. As a Kennel Assistant at Guide Dogs Victoria I have developed strong skills in canine behaviour, health monitoring, and biosecurity. My role as an Orchard Guide at a cherry farm deepened my understanding of sustainable agriculture and wildlife protection. With my background in animal studies and horticulture I am eager to apply my knowledge to conservation efforts, focusing on biodiversity, ecosystem restoration and sustainable land management.
I provide daily care for dogs, ensuring their well being through feeding, exercise and enrichment. I work closely with out veterinarians and training staff to monitor canine health and behaviour, identifying signs of illness, stress and behavioural issues.
An important aspect of my job is following strict protocols to maintain high standards of hygiene and biosecurity by cleaning kennels, food and preparation areas and equipment. As well as using the correct PPE to handle cleaning chemicals and medications.
