In 2015 I took part in a horseback ride across Canada with a group called Communities for Veterans Foundation. It was a horseback ride across the country to raise awareness to contemporary veterans coming back from service suffering with mental health. We would teach them how connecting with a horse can ground your emotions, then we would ride through their hometown. By doing this also taught the public to acknowledge veterans and thank them for their service which can save someone’s life.
