Compassionate Peer Support Worker and community services professional with over 20 years’ experience supporting individuals and families impacted by mental health issues, alcohol and drug use, trauma, disability, family and domestic violence, and refugee resettlement. Drawing on my lived experience as a family member and caregiver, I bring deep empathy, strong resilience, and a recovery-oriented approach that fosters trust, hope, and connection. My career has spanned government and not-for-profit sectors, where I have worked in roles ranging from case coordination and residential care to cultural diversity project leadership and psychoeducational facilitation. Across all positions, I have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to connection, collaboration, learning, and belonging.
In addition to recent leadership roles, I have over two decades of frontline experience working directly with vulnerable individuals and families. This includes supporting refugees through resettlement (Centrecare), providing residential care to children and adults with disabilities (Centre for Cerebral Palsy), and coordinating family and community support initiatives addressing domestic violence and mental health (ASeTTS, RAWA). These roles sharpened my ability to work under pressure, maintain empathy in difficult situations, and adapt support to meet diverse and complex needs.
