Wanna Dance Pte Ltd was the premier dance studio and entertainment provider in Singapore. It was founded by Fen and her business partner in 1998. Under the Jitterbugs Swingapore brand, the studios specialized in performance and dance education for children and adults in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Lindy Hop, Salsa and Circus Arts, including both RAD (UK) and CSTD (Aus.) accreditation.

  • Held full P&L responsibility with a revenue stream of over S$1m. Grew the business from one studio to 5 full studios occupying more than 2000 sq. m in central Singapore and franchise/ partner studio agreements
  • Managed a team of 6 full time administrative staff, 5 full time dance instructors and 30+ part time dance instructors offering over 120 class types per week
  • Provided choreography and instruction in Jazz, Lyrical Jazz, Turns Techniques, Ballet, Lindy Hop, Charleston, Salsa, having been formally dance trained internationally and in Singapore
  • Developed dance curriculum for children aged 3 to 5 years’ old and developed childrens’ dance programs for schools and the studio
  • Produced and Directed studio related productions with a cast of 250 children aged 3 years old and up including choreography, costuming, scheduling, marketing, venue rental, logistics and financial responsibilities
  • Director and manager of the Kids Performing Programme (KPP) – a 12-month scholarship programme for talented children (aged 6 to 17 years old) to challenge their physicality and physiology in a positive environment
  • Director and manager of the Developing Artist Programme (DAP) – a 12-month scholarship programme for adults (aged 18 yrs. and up) preparing young adults to be commercial dancers for TV, major events etc.
  • Produced and directed commercial dance productions for major event, including multiple TV shows, Singapore National Day Parade, Youth Olympic Games, F1 support events, Chinese New Year Parade (Chingay)
