Currently employed to provide bushland maintenance and fire mitigation services within the jurisdiction of Lake Macquarie City Council. Main duties are as follows:

• Bushland maintenance including regeneration and bushfire mitigation activities
• Maintenance of walking trails, fencing, gates, barriers, signage and asset protection zones
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the wider community
• Conduct a daily maintenance check of plant and equipment and report issues

• Adhered to safety protocols while operating heavy machinery, resulting in a safe work environment for myself and other workers.
• Prepared and administered vaccinations and medications to animals.
• Conducted basic veterinary care for livestock when necessary under supervision of supervisor.
• Operated farm equipment such as tractors and trucks with extreme care and precision.
• Maintained and repaired fences, buildings and other farm structures as part of groundskeeping duties.

• Conducted site investigations to assess soil, surface and ground water conditions on legacy, construction and operational sites.
• Conducted interpretation of laboratory results for soil and water, screening results against relevant guideline testing values. Prepared detailed site assessments, remediation plans and technical reports and made recommendations based on results field results.
• Utilised available online software (HazWasteOnline) to determine hazardous or non-hazardous soil classifications, making recommendations in reports based on outcomes.
• Developed environmental impact assessments to ensure client compliance with regional, national and EU regulations and guidelines. Evaluated potential environmental risks associated with development projects, recommending mitigation measures where necessary. EIA reports were completed for a wide range of projects across different sectors (pharma, marine, energy etc.). Report findings were communicated to clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Maintained up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices through continuous professional development activities.
• Managed environmental permitting and licensing processes for clients on coastal and pharmaceutical projects. Participated in meetings with clients and EPA licensing officers, ensuring timely approvals and adherence to EPA regulatory requirements.
