- Caring for intubated & ventilated patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) providing cardiorespiratory physiotherapy interventions including suctioning, positioning, stretch facilitation, percussions and vibrations.
- Conducting extensive review of patient notes, investigations, observations and values (Ausc, CXR, BP, Hb, RR etc.) and using clinical reasoning to determine the impairments in all major physiological systems including cardiovascular and respiratory.
- Liaising with ICU Nursing staff and Medical team to determine if physiotherapy is indicated and appropriate as we are given a blanket referral for every patient in ICU.
