I am delighted to be applying for the position of School Learning Support Officer at Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College, The Entrance Campus.

I am currently a university student, studying a Bachelor of Education (Secondary), making me uniquely suited to SLSO work within the secondary setting. I have been working as an SLSO with TLSC since April this year and in that time have gained experience supporting students of varying ability and within multiple classroom settings, including; multi-categorical, physical disability, intellectual disability, behavioural difficulties & emotional disturbance.

I am a positive, communicative, organised, and enthusiastic individual with a strong commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for students. I look forward to the opportunity of an interview to further discuss how I can support our students in this upcoming role.

  • Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and support staff to provide targeted assistance to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Deliver one-on-one and small group support to students
  • Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) for students requiring additional support, ensuring all accommodations are met
  • Serve as a key point of contact between students, parents, and teachers, fostering positive relationships to support student success
