- NEST (Nutrition Education Skills Training) is a six-week program teaching adults about healthy eating and easy, affordable cooking in a friendly and fun environment.
My role in the program includes assisting with administration, teaching cooking techniques to participants, and helping people understand the content. As part of my placement I was also required to present some of the content.
Catering and Administrative Assistant
1 Year 8 MonthsEarlier this year, Urban Discovery set up an installation at the Flower and Garden Show. During the 2-week setup process i was in charge of the catering for around 20 people per day. This included organising and preparing breakfast, lunch, snacks and refreshments for everyone. This demonstrates that I have strong abilities in time management, organisation and food safety skills. I also had a 2000 dollar budget to adhere to, which demonstrates my budget management, logistics and planning skills.

Customer Service Attendant and Supervisor
5 Years 1 MonthKey roles include driving and supervising for the Mobility shuttle service.
Supervising tasks include:
- Overseeing a group of 10-12 employees over an 8-hour shift.
- Delegating tasks to these employees.
- Ensuring the service runs smoothly and all tasks are completed in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment, sometimes around 90,000 people.
- Driving tasks and skills include:
- Working well in a team to ensure all tasks get completed.
- Showing compassion to the target audience, as they are often vulnerable and have mobility issues.
