Energetic and purpose-driven Nutrition Science student with direct experience of 75 hours of placement working as part of OzHarvest’s NEST program. I have a combined strong background in hospitality and high-volume customer service with proven team leadership skills, having successfully supervised staff in fast-paced environments. This means I’m equipped with excellent communication, administration, and relationship-building abilities. I’m ready to use this diverse experience to elevate corporate relationships and drive meaningful impact for OzHarvest.
75 hours Placement
My role in the program includes assisting with administration, teaching cooking techniques to participants, and helping people understand the content. As part of my placement I was also required to present some of the content.
Earlier this year, Urban Discovery set up an installation at the Flower and Garden Show. During the 2-week setup process i was in charge of the catering for around 20 people per day. This included organising and preparing breakfast, lunch, snacks and refreshments for everyone. This demonstrates that I have strong abilities in time management, organisation and food safety skills. I also had a 2000 dollar budget to adhere to, which demonstrates my budget management, logistics and planning skills.
