- I unload and sort the dairy stock into separate cages for each type of dairy product ranging from cold meats, yoghurt, milk, ready meals, dips, cheese, ready desserts, cream, and cheese. Once that task was completed, I helped the rest of the team unload the stock onto the shelves, rotating every item bringing the old stock to the front and new stock going at the back. once this was completed I would commonly be the one to bring out the drinks pallet which usually consisted of the heavier boxes each box would consist of 12 liters of milk and juice. At the end of my shift, I cleaned up the shelves which involved removing any rubbish and empty boxes and bringing the stock forward ensuring the shelves looked neat for a positive customer review.
- I also work in the freezer section, which only requires unloading the stock onto cages that were already organized by the manager. In this role, we were not required to rotate the stock as each of the products would last over a year.
- In my role, there were cases where I received the stock from the delivery bay using a pallet jack from the trucks as the loads came late past my manager's working hours.
