Hardworking Deli Clerk with 5 years of experience in retail support and service. Top notch issue resolution and customer engagement talents. Looking to take on new challenges with organization that values attention to detail. Excellent knowledge of safe slicer operation and sandwich art abilities. Known for great customer service skills and reliability. Excellent listening, problem-solving and relationship-building skills. I'm an enthusiastic and eager individual that strives to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Clear understanding of operating and cleaning and training in slicing meats/cheese. Motivated to learn, grow and excel in maintaining professional customer service. Most of the skills and knowledge I used for the Deli position, I also utilised while working at Big W and BCF as it was all customer service orientated. While working on the farm was predominately labour, I became very skilled at stacking hay bales onto the back of a moving truck, usually about 8 layers high and not have it fall down, I would shift water pipes to assist in the growth of predominately maze and corn. Did quite a bit of fencing on fences around the entirety of the farm but I had very little to do with the dairy side of things.
I've been a Correctional Prison Officer for the best part of 24 months starting the Pre-Service training program in October of 2022, during that time I have been able to utilise good communication skills to de-escalate heightened situations with prisoners. Capable of resolving conflict within the prison environment and have the ability to adapt to certain scenarios when required. Predominately been a caseworker at H.M.P Langi Kal Kal which is a minimum security location for the last 18 months and had a primary focus on assisting prisoners being reintegrated back into society. I would often perambulate to show a bit of dynamic security to try prevent any delinquent behaviour within the location I'm working at. Worked mainly casually at Hopkins Correctional Centre when I first started in corrections which is a medium security prison where it was more focused on the security side of things which enabled me to become knowledgeable on medium security processes. During my time there it also gave me insight on how to handle other heightened situations which may be a bit more of a physical nature however, it was not required of me to use force. I am always well organised arriving to work on time and well prepared for the day or night ahead bringing all the appropriate accouchements that are required for the daily duties. I make a conscious effort to ensure I look as professional and presentable as possible to maintain integrity and consistency. Through this occupation I have completed the Pre-Service training for male prisons and completed a Certificate 3 in Correctional Practice. I have received an award for being a part of the February 2024 Beaufort Bushfires. This award was received due to staff having to evacuate the location of H.M.P Langi Kal Kal and transport 310 prisoners to Western Plains Correctional Centre, 30 to Metropolitan Remand Centre and another 25-30 to Hopkins Correctional Centre for their safety and the safety of the staff.
Assisted and mentored new officers joining the team, providing guidance on best practices for achieving success in their roles.
