Summary

I am 24 and have spent my last two winters living in Jindabyne, NSW Australia, after growing up visiting every year with family. I created friendships for life, and built a solid working relationship with Mark, Kell and Joey (of Joey's Custom Bootfitting, Myoko) working with ESS Boardstore as a barista. I am eager to experience a season in Myoko, Japan and immerse myself in the culture with other likeminded people.

I am a headworker, having completed my Law degree whilst working snow seasons, and maintaining a great life balance. In September 2023, I will be admitted as a solicitor, however am eager to spend a season abroad, and take a break after 5 years of my legal career.

  • Salt Mill was an incredibly popular, busy and consistent cafe. My position for the day would either be on 'service', 'coffee' or 'juice bar'.
  • Serving consisted of an uninterrupted line of customers from open to close. I became familiar with my customers, their orders and would go the extra mile to make each experienced personalised.
  • Coffee, was incredibly fast paced at Salt Mill. I became familiar with tuning into rhythmic coffee making, pattern and routine, and ensuring for seamless co-working with whoever was on the machine with me.
  • Juice bar consisted of making Acai Bowls, Smoothies, toasties, Avo on toast, fresh juices, Chia pudding and being in charge of ordering and stock take for the following day of all food and stock. The cafe was quite well known on line and creating 'aesthetic food' was required.
