I started at Colac Area Health as a General services asssistant as a cleaner / food services assistant, working mainly at Polworth house and Otway aged care. When Corangamarah aged care facility was built I worked there solely.

I was responsible for residents food needs, supplying their breakfast/ morning teas/ lunch & afternoon teas.

I worked for the majority of the day by myself, having assistance from a helper over the busy lunch period.

I enjoyed the connection that grew between the residents and their family members.

The reason I left was when the vaccination mandate was introduced I was'nt prepared go along with that decision.

I am ready to return to some casual work to fill in a couple of days, I help out my children with child minding to lessen their burden. But they're all growing up and starting school now.

• Remained calm and poised when dealing with difficult customers or during busy shifts.
• Kept server areas clean and stocked to increase efficiency while working tables
• Greeted new customers, discussed specials, and took drink orders.
• Presented menus to patrons promptly after seating and answered questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.

• Followed sewing instructions and inspected quality of finished pieces.
• Operated sewing machines to join, reinforce,

• Worked well in a team setting, providing support and guidance.

• Kept meat cases fully stocked, clean and properly labeled to allow customers to find products quickly.
• Operated cash register for cash,
• Counted money in cash drawers at beginning and end of shifts to maintain accuracy.
