- I commenced my graduate plus program in February and have been a permanent part-time staff member on 3E since early August.
- We provide comprehensive care for a patient demonstrating complex clinical management needs, including the managment of multiple surgical drains (JP drains and intercostal catheters), vacuum-assisted closure (VAC) therapy, post-laryngectomy and tracheostomy stoma care, as well as the administration of patient-controlled analgesia (PCA)/EPC, and continuous medication delivery via a syringe driver.
- Trained students/new nurses in proper techniques, care standards and safety protocols.

- I joined western health as a pool grad.
- I became a team member at GNP-Sunshine 1A in my third month of employment and spent about six months there. I learnt all the basic surgical knowledge and skills such as drain management and dressing changes on 1A. This provided me with a solid foundation for my future surgical journey. I then moved to my second rotation (Footscray/Williamstown cluster, 4 wards), where I gained more exposure to the medical side of nursing.
