I’m a caring and empathetic qualified enrolled nurse who is passionate about helping people. I have had experience as a Personal care assistant in the aged care sector for 13 months while I was studying to be an enrolled nurse. Once I was qualified, I have gained a lot more knowledge and experience as an enrolled nurse in aged care. My career objective is to gain a position with Northern Territory health care sector and hoping to gain knowledge and experience in acute care.

• Boandik Lodge Lake Terrace Aged Care Facility, 11/01/21, 12/31/21, To work closely with Registered and Enrolled nurses., To Learn the routine of the drug rounds., To attend to wound dressings., To recognise and respond to more complex needs such as palliative care and/or emergencies such as falls and deterioration in health such as stroke/heart attack etc., To complete clinical skills such as documentation, observations, wound dressings, medications, and injections., Able to calculate dosage and draw up IM and SC medication and administer it to the resident as per orders under the direct supervision of an RN., Completing observations and recognising patient deterioration and acting and notifying the RN of observations out of range and completing appropriate documentation and charts., Assessing wounds and completing wound dressings based on clinical judgement and completing appropriate documentation and charts under direct supervision with RN.
• Flinders Medical Centre Neurosurgery Ward 5B, 02/01/22, 03/31/22, To manage a patient load of 4 and taking responsibility for all care and delivering patient centered care throughout the shift., To complete neurological observations and being able to respond and act on a decrease of GCS score and to notify my RN immediately., To complete all relevant documentation including vital signs, progress notes, bowel chart etc. for all nursing interventions throughout the shift., To research using MIMS and AMH to correctly prepare IV antibiotics under the direct supervision of an RN using ANTT technique., To receive and understand a handover from staff and giving handover to the oncoming staff and to implement any changes to the care plan., Removing drains, sutures, and staples from wounds., Able to calculate dosage and prepare SC/IV/IVAB medication and administer it to the patient as per orders under the direct supervision of an RN., Able to recognize a drop in GCS score of a deteriorating patient and responded and acted on it and notifying my RN immediately., Confidently Handing over 4 of my patients to on coming staff using effective communication.
