Community Involvement

Bethanies Retirement Village - Support Worker

Volunteered in an ongoing support role at Bethanie during my early years of school where I would be a person for aged care residents to talk to and do activities with such as painting, pottery and cards. By being actively engaged with the residents, it helped me to further my understanding of people from all different ages and backgrounds at a young age.

The Smith Family - Reading Buddy

Peer supporter assisting disadvantaged school kids during their primary and early secondary years with literacy skills. The reading gap between the lowest socioeconomic students and the highest is equivalent to almost 3 years of schooling. Worked with the children to build confidence, encourage and be an active listener.

University of Western Australia - Student Volunteer

As apart of the UWA Guild, a group of us students would meet fortnightly to help organise and make packages to assist people that were financially disadvantaged with clothes, food and other necessities.
