OSHC Educator with 4 Years of experience working alongside a team to create a fun learning environment for children. I have always been driven to be apart of the medical field and hope to complete a Bachelor of Paramedicine in the coming years as it has been a lifelong goal. While working with children, I have been thoroughly interested in learning about and becoming more involved in the medical area of the centre. I have really enjoyed helping people, not only by applying first aid, but by giving support and comfort.
Throughout my journey at New Lambton District OOSH I have completed several certificates to ensure I am providing the best support to Children and staff.
Alongside completing first aid training, I requested to be part of the companies Medical Team which enhanced my experience and understanding of policies and procedures. This opportunity gave me the role of maintaining and organizing first aid supplies to the companies requirements as well as administering first aid and medications when necessary.
To allow growth and strengthen my knowledge, I chose to complete my Child protection certificate that has allowed me to be apart of a leadership position. Throughout the duration of a session I have been a supervisor/Responsible person this has allowed me to support children, families and staff when needed.
The opportunity to learn administration has enabled me to gain further understanding of the centre as I have become familiar:
Reading, Math, English, Art and sporting activities for grades from years 1 to 6
