Jack Brown

I am a dedicated, honest, punctual worker who thrives to do the very best that I can in any environment. As an Aboriginal person I have been fortunate enough to have been actively apart of Indigenous work programs most recently with the Yorta Yorta Nation Aboriginal Corporation's Woka Wolla land and water management crew. Carrying out land management works on Yorta Yorta Country in a culturally safe and respected way. Majority of work done by my crew is directed by our elders council. I'm experienced with leadership and strategic planning, I utilize strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to drive success. I am familiar with common safety processes and procedures such as SWMS, Incidents reports and OHS requirements. I have shown and am willing to further develop my personal skills and adapt to any work environment I'm in for the good of the organisation and community.

• Was the Chair of my High School Reconciliation Committee where I spoke in front of large audiences, organised meetings and provided reports to the School newsletter
• Worked for YYNAC's Cultural Heritage Team identifying scar trees and monitoring a Scared site
• Worked with Parks Victoria's predator program Fox Baiting majority of the Barmah Nation Park
• Chemically sprayed invasive weeds across Yorta Yorta Country In Collaboration with Parks Victoria
• Worked with North Central Management Authority releasing fish and water surveying
• Conducted a number of Cultural burns in The YYNAC fire program
• Have travelled and lived away for work and school, having boarded at Melbourne Grammar and gone away for work weeks at a time with YYNAC
