For the first two terms of 2024 i worked full time in a K1 class supporting a funded student with higher needs, as well as spending 45 minutes each morning supporting an additional student in a year 1/2 class.
Both students had to move and the school kept me on by moving me into a 5/6 class where i have supported two funded students, often one to one or as a group of 2-4 while also supporting the teacher and the rest of the class where needed. I have happily moved into other classes when needed, such as the MC class, and i continue to remain flexible and driven in this role. This year within my role at Leura i have:
During 2023 i started the year in an MC class at Mt Victoria Public School. After the first term the Students i was supporting were collapsed into a K/1 class when the teacher moved on. For the remainder of the year i continued to support those students, often on a one to one or small group basis.

during my first year at Narooma High School i worked casually, initially, in the support classes. I attained a year contract quickly and for the rest of the year i worked within the four MC classes.
The second year at Narooma High i was attached, on contract, to a year 7 group for the year. I made my daily routine based on where i was most needed which became a daily email to the head teacher of support. That system became mandatory for the other SLSO's and continues to. I moved back to my home of the Blue Mountains at the beginning of 2022.

I've always had a love of art and physical activity. I find them to be a necessary outlet to keep happy, calm and well regulated.
