I am a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant worker currently pursuing a Master’s in Counselling at the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors. I have worked with both aged and adolescent client, who suffer from Autism, dementia, anxiety disorders.
Where I support them with personal care, community services and helping them achieve independence in living their life. I love being able to help people, and I am confident in my skills and competency to be able to work as a support worker and support every client with the best help they deserve. This is a career i wish to fully take upon and further hone my skills.

  • I had to note down the progress and behaviors of residents and observe for any changes, also was responsible for the administration of medication to the residents. My knowledge in Manual Handling skills really helped me to understand and help residents move in and out of bed, bath, wheelchairs and automobiles with care and correct procedures.
  • Changing of bed linen and provided compassionate incontinence care to residents in an aged care facility, ensuring hygiene, comfort, and dignity while adhering to infection control protocols.

Supported them with making a list of groceries and shopping, budgeting and also help arrange their room but also focusing and emphasis on promoting independence for the residents as this aligns with person-centered care principles.
