Dynamic educator and Registered Nurse with extensive experience in clinical skills education at Western Sydney University and critical care nursing at Bathurst Health Facility. Excelled in interdisciplinary simulation coordination and bedside education, demonstrating exceptional lesson planning and collaborative learning skills. Proven track record in enhancing student engagement and achieving best practice in patient safety.
Part of my role has been to assist with co ordinating large interdisciplinary, multiagency simulation activities.
I also co ordinate the Critical care attachment which involves ensuring all assessments are met as well as liaising with clinicians to provide education at the bedside.
My role is also to organise educational opportunites within Emergency, ICU and Anaesthetics so that the students are exposed to up to date, gold standard patient care.
To work collaboratively with staff, managers & other educators to identify and prioritise learning needs across the Facility. The overall aim is to support staff in attaining best practice and improved patient safety.
I worked within the scope of a Registered Nurse in ICU both at the bedside of critically unwell patients and also in Team Leader role. Providing education to colleagues on various topics was also a component of my role in ICU. This work involved the use of critical thinking, communication skills, multidisciplinary collaboration and a desire to see the patient and their family supported in their health care journey.
I worked in this busy surgical ward as part of my New Graduate and there after years. I developed a love for both nursing and the teamwork required to ensure good outcomes for patients. This level of nursing led me onwards to critical care areas.
