Within my current role, I provide leadership and management in the coordination of work activities for the Metro North Payroll Team. This dynamic team currently consists of 49 Client Service Officers, 8 Senior Payroll Officers and 4 Team Leaders. We provide a quality customer focused service to one of the largest Hospital and Health Services (HHS) in Queensland, employing approximately 18,000 staff.

Within my substantive Payroll leadership role, I am proud to lead the CHQ Payroll Team, consisting of 14 Client Service Officers and 2 Senior Payroll Officers. We provide accurate and timely payments to a client group consisting of approximately 6000 Children's Health Queensland staff. It is crucial to set performance expectations for the team, monitoring progress towards gaols and providing constructive feedback as needed. Empowering team members by delegating responsibilities according to individual strengths and areas of expertise. I understand the importance of open, clear and concise communication with team members. I was recently recognised by senior leadership with the staff excellence award for clarity. Throughout my time as Team Leader I have also had several opportunities to perform higher duties within the role of Service Coordinator for the Redcliffe-Caboolture Payroll Team, the Prince Charles Hospital Payroll Team, Children’s Health Queensland Payroll Team and currently, the Metro North Payroll Team.
The District Call Centre, Payroll Services was located at both Redcliffe and Caboolture Hospitals. As Team Leader I was responsible for setting up the unit, creating policies and procedures for my team of seven as well as liaising with client groups to ensure service delivery expectations were met. Our client group consisted of staff within the Redcliffe, Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals as well as the Community and Mental Health Departments. We provided our clients with staffing solutions and accurate and timely data entry of rostering and roster variations utilising the Payroll System ESP. Our hours of operation were 6am to 6pm, Monday to Sunday.
As Team Leader within Payroll Services located at Redcliffe Hospital, our client group consisted of staff employed within the Redcliffe, Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals, as well as the Community Health Departments. I was responsible for leading a team of 20 Payroll Officers performing end to end payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payments to clients, whilst meeting audit requirements.
During this period I was employed as a Payroll Officer within Payroll Services located at the Redcliffe Hospital. Our client group consisted of staff employed within the Redcliffe, Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals as well as the Community Health Departments. The payroll system used was RBS and I was responsible for end to end payroll processing as well as the running and reconciling of pay runs, ensuring staff received accurate and timely payments.
