Jeff Walsh

With over 34 years in state and federal law enforcement, and as a commissioned officer in the Australian Army Military Police, I have developed effective leadership, communication skills and working relationships. I have held leadership roles in Tactical Response Operations, Plain Clothes Investigations, Air Security Operations and Covert and Technical Operations. As a police Operational Skills Trainer (Cert IV) in QPS, AFP and ADF, I have been involved in many aspects of training design, implementation and delivery over many years. I have designed and run courses and training for the Queensland Police Service PSRT, SERT, Police Dive Squad and Undercover Operations Unit. I have designed and run courses and training for the AFP Operational Response Group, Air Security Operations and Covert and Technical Operations. In my current role in AFP Covert and Technical Operations I am the chief instructor for surveillance field operations across the whole AFP. I have developed the AFP Green Role Impromptu Deployment (GRID) capability for the entire organisation, based on my military and tactical experience. My background in training frontline operational staff, designing capacity-building programs, and leading professional development initiatives has equipped me with a deep understanding of how to develop effective, engaging, and targeted training programs.
