• Ensure that all surgical instruments and equipment delivered to decontamination area are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.
• Conduct detailed checks on all surgical instruments and equipment for cleanliness and quality before packing.
• Verify that all instruments are complete in set/tray and labeled correctly.
• Pack or wrap all surgical trays using aseptic technique.
• Proficient in sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment using STERRAD and Steam machines.
• Organize sterilized products on respective shelves in the sterile room.
• Prioritize tasks effectively.
• Perform well under pressure.
• Provide items from the sterile room to nurses as needed.
• Communicate effectively, particularly when responding to queries from nurses.
