I began my career with a 5.5 year journy as a Fitter and Turner in the family business, gaining experience in stationary plant maintenance, machining, and welding. This role provided a strong foundation in mechanical tasks and problem-solving. In 2020, I transitioned to a Mobile Plant Technician, focusing on field service for agricultural equipment and vehicles. This role required adaptability and problem solving especially around hydraulics. Since early2024, I have been working on Tas Hydro contracts, contributing to significant projects at Strathgordon and Lake Echo, including critical tasks during short-term shutdowns. My career has given me a diverse skill set and valuable experience.
