Continuing professional development throughout my career is very important to me as I strive to be a confident and competent Registered Nurse.

My goals are to be the best Critical Care Registered Nurse that I can be. I have career aspirations to join the Royal Flying Doctors Service in the future but would like to remain within Critical Care  Nursing to further consolidate my skills for the time being. I also have a passion for teaching and supporting new nurses. As I have been a nursing student for many years I am excited to share my knowledge base with new nurses and guide them into an exciting and fulfilling career. 

• Experience in working with acutely unwell patients in an emergency, including but not limited to ALS, intubation and pacing
• Safe medication administration and management
• Experience in peripheral intravenous cannulation and venepuncture
• Experience in aseptic indwelling catheter procedures, male and female
• Management of intravenous therapies, intravenous catheters, PICC’s and CVC’s
• Experience in wound management and aseptic technique, including complex and long-term wounds
• Documentation of patient care including admissions, care planning, advanced care planning, progress notes and discharges
• Experienced in rapport-building and communication with patients and families, including critical and complex conversations.
• Experience in palliative care medication administration, management and techniques
• Liaising with multidisciplinary team members
