Providing consistently high level of nursing care to critically unwell patients in a dynamic environment.

Assisting medical staff with advanced procedures including intubation of both paediatrics and adults, arterial/central line insertion and ongoing monitoring of these acute issues.

Triage and Resus Team-Leader being competent and confident in complex airway and ventilator patients, with frequent exposure to both adult/paediatrics.

Frequent multi-disciplinary team collaboration to provide patients with exceptional systematic and holistic care, throughout their emergency department journey.

Providing support to ANUMS and being in-charge of the shift when required.

Mentoring and educating nurses of all skill levels to assist them in achieving set competencies.

Assisting the education team with continuing professional skill development through the department.

Advanced Life Support and Paediatric Advanced Life Support assessor for all nurses

Ongoing professional development including Master’s of Advanced Clinical Nursing (Ongoing at present), current MET Call, Interactive Bedside Handover, PIVC and Sepsis Project involvement.

Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (Neurology, Neuroscience and Neurosurgery)

• Treating acute conditions such as stroke, treating chronic and debilitating conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, Guillian-Barre Syndrome, Stroke, MND and participating in a multi-disciplinary team to actively advocate and provide a holistic and patient centred care approach to patient care.
