Sales Assistant/Department Visual Merchandiser

Myer
Cairns, QLD
03.2023 - 02.2024
  • This diverse role involved working across several roles as my store/s required. Initially employed in a salesperson role, I worked across Myer Cairns’ homewares and menswear departments, providing exceptional service to a variety of demographics. I immersed myself in product knowledge in order to better assist my customers and maintained a consistently above-average customer satisfaction score. In the lead-up to Christmas, I was promoted to Homewares Visual Merchandiser. During this time I was in charge of inducting, training and supporting our Christmas casuals in the absence of my department head, and lead my sales team during both the VIP Christmas Sale Evening and for the entirety of the Boxing Day sales. In January, I entered a hybrid role of salesperson/merchandiser, and was then offered a transfer to the Geelong Myer, where I spent three months as the leading Womenswear Merchandiser, in charge of liaising with household-name fashion brands.
