Additional Information

I have an invested interest in joining the Nursing team at the Minor Injury Illness Centre advertised at the Ripley Satellite Hospital. My background originated in Ipswich Hospital consisting of 15 years in the Emergency Department where I advanced my skills as an Enrolled Nursing to Registered Nurse and Clinical Nurse leaving the public system in 2007. I have, for the past 16 years worked in General Practice maintaining many skills of triage and primary/secondary assessment that still hold relevance today. I completed a 3 day Assessment Skills work shop through ECT4Health in May 2023, and ALS in November 2023 through Mater Education. I have recently participated in triage webinar and have a triage course refresher in the next month I am currently in a Team Lead RN role in the urgent care Riverlink Ipswich Full time. I come with a wealth of knowledge and skills spanning 36 years in the health industry. I pride myself with having excellent communication skills and life experience that enable me to adapt and manage acute and stressful presentations, and the ability to de -escalate a situation when required. I have a positive outlook in general have good rapport with staff, patient’s and their family, always trying to see the lighter side of a situation.
