The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia is the diplomatic mission and Indonesian Government representatives serving in Canberra, Australia. The primary purpose of the embassy is to improve the bilateral relations between Indonesia - Australia in political, economic, education, social, and cultural domains, as well as protection to the Indonesian citizens and legal entities in Australia.

Duties include:

Finance and Accounting (Accounting software used: SIMKEU)

  • Responsible for month-end financial reporting and preparation of monthly financial statements with detailed analysis of actual versus budget.
  • Preparation and review of month-end journals and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Preparation of monthly cash-flow statements and forecast cash-flow management
  • Manage preparation of annual financial statements and disclosures, including accounting position papers on accounting judgments and estimates
  • Preparation of annual embassy budget and budget forecasts through the year ensuring compliance with Embassy’s policies and procedures
  • Produced year-end summary report before January 10 for five consecutive years
  • Established online banking payroll for contract staff since 2013 to reduce the cash flow risk
  • Management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks; and staff ensuring the integrity of general ledger codes, income, and expenses
  • Checked payroll, vendor payments, commissions and other accounting disbursements for accuracy and compliance.
