Founder and director of Jonathan West Australia Pty Ltd.

At inception I was responsible for the design, manufacture and installation of highly bespoke furniture and joinery for a wide range of clients. As I grew the business over 12 years I have been responsible for delivering hundreds of detailed joinery projects.

Since starting in 2012 Jonathan West Australia has grown to become one of Australia's premier furniture and joinery companies, working along side industry leaders in Architecture, Interior Design and Building.

Jonathan West Australia has created bespoke joinery and furniture for luxury homes across Australia and internationally, as well as custom interiors for many of Australia's best recognised hospitality venues and retail spaces.

Since inception, JWA has grown to a team of 10 full time employees operating from a state of the art 800m2 factory in Botany NSW.

As director of an established joinery business my duties include:

• Generation of new work and client liaison
• Overseeing project design and drawing
• Meeting with operations managers and reviewing production and project timelines.
• Project quotations and tenders
• Managing company financials
• Creating a company culture that is supportive and nurturing of staff nd creating opportunities for development.

• Building custom joinery, display cases, plinths and object mounts for exhibitions.
• Liaising with other departments such as conservation regarding sensitive artefact handling
• preparation and spraying of finishes to joinery.
• Metal work including mig and tig welding of mild steel, stainless steel and brass.
• Decorative finishes including patination of non ferrous metals.
• Moulding and casting of objects.

• Manufacture of complex shaped and curved joinery items for use in film and TV production.
• Decorative finishes and painting
• Installation of sets on location and in studios.
