Work History

Team Member

KFC
10.2024 - Current
  • I have been employed at KFC since October 2024, where I have developed a strong foundation in customer service, teamwork, and time management. Within my first month, I was recognised as Employee of the Period for my rapid progress during training. I received this recognition again in February 2025, reflecting my reliability and willingness to assist by covering shifts at short notice.
This role has helped me build valuable skills, including working collaboratively with colleagues, communicating respectfully with a diverse range of customers, and managing tasks efficiently during busy periods. In particular, while working in the packer role, I have learned to think logically and prioritise tasks to ensure orders are completed accurately and promptly.

  • Kept work areas clean, organized, and safe to promote efficiency and team safety.
  • Learned all required tasks quickly to maximize performance.
  • Worked scheduled shifts and remained available to work during coworker absences, holidays, and busy periods.
  • Contributed to team success by completing jobs quickly and accurately.

Apprentice Electrician

Nelson Electronics
01.2025 - 01.2025
  • During the summer holidays of 2025, I completed a week of work experience at Nelson Electronics under the guidance of my step-uncle. This experience provided me with foundational skills in basic electrical work, including wire stripping and the principles behind electronic systems. I also gained insight into the importance of following instructions from more experienced professionals and maintaining focus and composure during physically demanding tasks.
Throughout the week, I demonstrated quick learning and adaptability, which enabled me to take on more responsibilities. By the end of the placement, I was able to work semi-autonomously, carrying out tasks with minimal supervision. This experience not only enhanced my technical skills but also taught me the value of teamwork, professionalism, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

  • Pulled wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors.
  • Kept tools and materials organized, contributing to a clean and safe work area for all team members throughout each project''s duration.
  • Followed all safety procedures and guidelines to promote safety while working on electrical systems.
  • Organized materials and tools in to maintain clean and neat work areas.
