With almost 30 years of experience across the Australian mining sector, I have successfully transitioned into a Mining Dispatcher, working closely with operators and office staff. Part of my role has been to efficiently and effectively communicate with a large range of people throughout the day. In recent years I have continued to develop these skills, and have a strong understanding of the requirements of staffing changes that can occur on site, along with the demands of operating a 24 hour mine site. I have worked on a variety of small and large scale mines, gaining valuable experience in multifaceted areas of the various sites. Currently I work a 12.5 hour shift, allowing me to operate two crews simultaneously, but also allowing for staggered starts for the various crews. In order to keep abreast of the ongoing changes and site requirements, I have developed a strong understanding of our current systems and have started to make changes to streamline our internal processes. These have been simple things that I noticed, having come from an Operator’s role, to improve time efficiencies directly affecting the job. My strong, solid employment history working on large scale projects has helped me to develop a range of transferrable skills that can be applied to other projects. Keen to continue my career, I am seeking a permanent position where I can develop a long term career, applying the skills and competencies I have gained so far to contribute to the success of the operation. I have the capability and drive to take on new challenges and learn new skills, with a commitment and respect for safety. Hardworking and passionate job seeker with strong organizational skills eager to secure entry-level position. Ready to help team achieve company goals.
