i was looking to gain an understanding and enough insight on the business and working life of a electrician. this was to find out if this is what i wanted to pressure as a full time job. i started this two week block of work experience in 23/9/2024 to the 04/10/2024. in this time i gained knowledge on multiple perspectives on different fields of work for an electrician. This included working in and outside of homes. gaining experience on running cable within new homes/ framed houses. there was a further extent of more work that is not listed, however the knowledge i gained from this was what i needed to know that this was the career i wanted pressure.

in this week of work experience i collected and pressured tasks that included,

• Boosted gym cleanliness by performing routine maintenance tasks, including sanitising equipment and tidying up workout areas.
• Maintained accurate records of membership details, attendance figures, and financial transactions in accordance with gym policies and procedures..
• Supported the Gym Manager in various administrative tasks such as data entry, scheduling staff shifts, and tracking equipment maintenance schedules.

this was a voluntary job due to lack of coaching staff being able to get to all the teenagers and children in all areas of athletics, i decided to take this role on as i was a state/ national representative for the club due to doing discus for the south australian team twice in consecutive years. this was in payed and i took two classes a week for 1-3 hours a week due to the passion of seeing younger children like myself finding enjoyment and growth in something they truly enjoy.
