Worked collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient care through safe and effective use of medicines. Provided consultations and answered inquiries from prescribers and other health professionals regarding Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, hospital-based policies, medication management, administration and dosages. Evaluated patient medication histories to assess for drug related problems and errors within transitions of care. Educated patients on possible drug interactions, potential side effects and optimal methods of administration to enhance quality use of medicines.

Managed workflow, performed professional services, procurement and management of stock, communicated with patients and delivered counselling on medicines. Required to regularly communicate with other health professionals to help deliver optimal patient health outcomes. All responsibilities in this role were undertaken whilst concurrently dispensing prescriptions efficiently and maintaining effective communication with customers, answering medication-based queries and providing patient advice and care.

Worked across three locations (Calwell, Lyneham and Isabella Plains) to assist pharmacists with dispensing, compounding, Webster packing, management of stock and training staff. Quickly and competently learned to adapt to changing environments, software and methods of stock management to ensure proficiency and contribution to success of the businesses. Strong inter-professional relationships were built with team members from each pharmacy during this time.
