I am an enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable, responsible and hard working person. I am a great team worker and adaptable to all challenging situations. I am able to work well both in a team environment as well as using my own initiative. I am able to work well under pressure.


I have really enjoyed my time in my current role, but I am looking for a change in order to take on new challenges and stretch myself professionally. I am excited about the opportunity to learn new things and take on new responsibilities in a new role.

Work History

Room Leader & Educational Leader

Coast Community Pre-school

I have worked at my current Pre-school for over 12 years now. Over the years I have been the room leader in the toddler room (2 - 3.5 years) and the pre-school room (3.5 - 5 years).

I provide day to day care and supervision of children.

Liaising with parents and other professionals (when needed) on children's development.
I do the planning, organising and implementing of activities in the rooms (and outdoor) set ups for children, to stimulate and nurture their physical, mental, social, emotional and academic development. All experiences set up are child led.

Working within the EYLF framework, I do daily journals, set up weekly experiences and observe all the children in my room individually and in a group each month. Following and extending on the children's interests I help to scaffold their interests and further develop their learning in a variety of fun ways, through play.


For the past 12 months I have held the role of educational leader. I encourage and help lead the team to uphold the National Quality Framework. I encourage the team to critically reflect on their own pedagogy, alongside the National Quality standards and the Principles and Practices. We use some of these to implement in our Quality Improvement Plan.

In my role I check observations to ensure that the National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework were embedded throughout them.

I provide details of upcoming events and celebrations, encourage sustainability, teamwork and encourage further training and support in areas needed.


I am currently 2IC at my centre. In this role I assist the Nominated Supervisor in leading the team, ensuring all regulations are being met.


Administration Manager

English Pre-School, Vacation Care and Before & After School Club.

My role was Administration Manager for the above 3 groups. This included book keeping, invoicing, filing, paying all bills, petty cash, paying all staff salaries. Setting Managers yearly 'budgets' for resources needed and ensuring they are kept. Update of yearly parent handbooks, design and printing.

Reporting figures of each area to Managers and The Management Committee on a regular basis.


Extra duties for the Holiday Club included advertising, taking bookings, letters to parents confirming bookings, chasing payment and banking.

Staff rosters, working to ratios set out by Ofsted the governing body. Organising key worker systems for all staff on duty. Upkeep of register, personal details and contracts for children attending.

I also worked as a Holiday Club Play Leader where my duties included working as a team member, leading the team to ensure the safety and supervision of all children attending. We provided high quality childcare. Programming and implementing appropriate play opportunities for the children attending (4-11 years). I helped to provide a safe and happy environment.

My role was the day to day supervision of children and leading other staff and parent helpers. The playgroup had between 24-28 children each day, aged 2-4 years. 4 staff and 2 parent helpers each day. Working as a team member ensuring the children enjoy a variety of activities, interacting, socialising, learning through play. Doing observations on all children and helping other staff members with observations and implementation when needed.

Helping with the short and long term planning, linking the planning to the Early Years Foundation Stage. The UK framework for children aged 2-6 years.

Working at all times to the National Standards set up by Ofsted. (Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills - English government). Also the agreed policies, procedures and good practices set up by the All Saint's Management Committee.

Liaising with parents and other appropriate agencies.

For 3 years I was the Leader of a Beaver Scout Colony where 21 boys attended all aged 6-8 years.

I had 3 assistants who helped me each week.

I provided care and supervision of the beaver scouts and lead the assistants.

I did all the planning, risk assessments, health and safety, buying, record keeping, billing, cash collection, register, first aid, liaising with the District Commissioner and other Leaders to organise and attend District events.
