An interactive environmental scientist with a passion for supporting technically oriented projects.
A significant highlight so far has been the opportunity to conduct fieldwork in Borneo, studying the environmental factors influencing populations of Anurans (amphibians) amidst anthropogenic disturbance. This experience deepened my understanding of ecosystem dynamics while also honing existing skills in conducting comprehensive research and data collection in challenging environments.
On the conclusion of this fieldwork, my research paper was chosen to be submitted to the Gunung Mulu National Park and the Sarawak Forestry Department. This paper highlighted critical insights into the effects of human activity on local amphibian populations, contributing valuable information to conservation efforts in the region.
In my spare time, I pursue a passion for wildlife photography, venturing into natural habitats to capture the beauty and behavior of various species. This hobby not only allows me to express my creativity but also serves as a valuable tool for deepening my knowledge of wildlife and ecology. Beyond the artistic aspect, wildlife photography plays a practical role in my journey as an ecologist. It enables me to track the movements and populations of various species, providing valuable insights into their distribution patterns and habitat preferences. By cataloging my photographs and noting the time and location of each sighting, I could perhaps one day contribute to ongoing research efforts aimed at wildlife conservation and management.
