Rotation 1: Upper GI (Surgical)

• Managed patients with NGTs, PEG tubes, and TPN.
• Skilled in PCA and epidural pain management.
• Proficient in abdominal and chest drain care, including monitoring and recording output, dressing changes, and removal of drains.
• Experienced in wound care, including VAC dressings, and various surgical wounds.

Rotation 2: Infectious Disease (Medical)

• Experienced in HiFlow oxygen therapy, monitoring and adjusting flow rates based on respiratory assessments.
• Skilled in de-escalation and initiating appropriate assist measures for aggression in the workplace, such as challenging behaviours from patients and family members.
• Applied strict infection control measures, including isolation and aseptic techniques.
• Managed patient flow, including bed moves, ward transfers, and patient admissions/discharges.

• Maintained accurate and consistent documentation, including patient identification, correct medication administration, and consent forms to ensure safe patient outcomes.
• Delegated care of high patient loads, often leading a 2-3 person nursing team to achieve efficient patient flow.
• Actively collaborated with team members to adapt to real-time changes, such as no-shows and overbookings, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient satisfaction.
