In this position I was required to serve food, maintain a clean and tidy dining environment as well as bar, use the POS system and pour beers from the tap and make cocktails. I quickly showed myself to be a trusted and reliable employee, working upwards of 40 hours a week and often being the sole front of house member for the day. This position grew my people skills and taught me valuable proceedings for working in an environment involving food safety and the sale of alcohol.

Independent delivery work, delivering mostly meals and groceries. I had taken on Doordash as a way to earn money while working off of my own schedule. This furthered my skills of holding myself accountable for my work as there was nobody to rely upon or give instruction.

While employed here I worked across many departments in the store, such as the grocery department, the deli and the bakery. When the bakery department's manager left suddenly, I stepped up taking many of her shifts until a replacement could be found. I also volunteered to work many holidays such as Christmas, New Years and Easter, so shifts could be covered. This position taught me how to work in a team and the importance of good working relationships.

I took on this role as a way to earn while attending high school. In this position I created inventories of stock, set up listings, wrote out descriptions and titles, worked with customers to answer any questions or concerns they had and package deliveries and send them out with Australia Post. This providing me with valuable skills for my age such as problem solving in a professional way, the importance of good time management and independently striving to be the best I could be for the customer.
