I worked with Foundation Classes at Sunbury Heights Primary School to deliver online AUSLAN sessions and resources (during remote learning) and an onsite classroom AUSLAN Program when students returned back to school. This involved working closely with another Teacher of the Deaf to plan and implement the schools new LOTE (AUSLAN) We implemented the program across the last six months of the year and were involved in assessing the programs efficacy and assessing students progress for second semester reporting purposes.

As well as this role, I was involved in tutoring three NDIS funded deaf students online after school .

As a Teacher of the Deaf I worked in a multi-disciplinary team (Teachers of the Deaf, AUSLAN Interpreters, Auslan LOTE Teachers, Speech Pathologists, Deaf Mentors,Visiting Teachers, Hearing Australia, Leadership Team and Wellbeing Leaders) to service the needs of funded and non funded deaf and hard of hearing students in a Government Deaf Facility housed in a mainstream school.

This involved working closely with my students mainstream classroom teachers, as well as within the year level teaching team to assist with planning and adjustments or accomodations or any curriculum supports necessary to ensure that the curriculum and wellbeing needs of the students were met.

This involved assessing students needs, developing and implementing ILP's via regular 1-1 or small group withdrawal or classroom sessions for each student working on learning/wellbeing goals.

I am a keen musician, working across regional and metropolitan Victoria in the Jazz field

For the last thirty years I have sung in a capella groups, bands, duos and trios performing in various music genres and gigging regularly.

I particularly enjoy performing at the Regional Jazz Festivals. Music has been a major part of my life and leisure. I have incorporated this passion into many of the educational settings that I have worked at , and at Moonee Ponds West PS I taught in the Performing Arts Specialist teams across P-6 for two years as well as developing a school choir.
