As a dedicated Level 3 Support Worker with 2.5 years experience in the disability sector, I’m eager to expand my career in Behavioural Support. My expertise lies in working with individuals with complex needs, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I’ve had the privilege of supporting a client with Level 3 ASD, who has made remarkable progress in verbal communication, emotional regulation, self expression and mood management during our time together. This achievement was made possible through:

• Collaborative trial and error approaches with my client
• Close communication with family, fellow support workers and the broader team
• Meticulous reporting and analysis of this documentation
• Attentive observation of her behaviours

In my personal life, I’ve had the priceless experience of supporting my brother, who lives with Level 3 ASD, OCD, Schizoaffective disorder, intellectual disability and complex PTSD. Over my lifetime, I’ve developed a deep understanding of complex behaviours and honed my skills in providing compassionate support. My understanding of complex behaviours on an intimate level allows me to empathise heavily with individuals who are in need of support. I’m very excited to broaden my expertise and passion to drive positive outcomes in Behavioural Support.
