I am an accomplished Registered Nurse with 20 years of hospital experience and more recently Community Nursing and Care Coordination. I pride myself on delivering high-quality patient centred care focusing on best patient outcomes and enhanced patient well-being. I strongly value effective communication and demonstrate exceptional collaboration within a team and leadership skills. I have established advanced clinical skills and knowledge that enables me to educate and support my fellow colleagues as well as patients and their families.
I am on the nursing casual pool for Central Coast Local Health District and as well as working a few hospital shifts, I have been working for the Community Respiratory Service and running the Pulmonary Rehab program for clients in the community with a team of nurses.
I currently work casually as a Registered Nurse for a Homecare provider that supports people under the DVA. I have cared for clients with varying abilities and needs and some of my responsibilities include: comprehensive nursing assessments, medication management, oxygen management, mental health welfare, and personal care.
I worked on the casual pool at Ryde Hospital for 8 months before relocating to the Central Coast. I have had the privilege of working across a variety of specialties, including emergency department, intensive care, Aged care, cardiology, orthopaedics, neurology, general medicine and day surgery unit. This has enabled me to further develop my clinical nursing skills and knowledge.
I began my Nursing career in the New Graduate Nurse Program at Concord Hospital in 2005 in a busy medical and surgical Neurosciences unit. I developed specialised Nursing skills and experience that enabled me to gain the title of Clinical Nurse Specialist. I thoroughly enjoyed working with a fantastic and supportive team and continued to work there as a senior Nurse for 18 years.
